
JESSICA CATRON - RATTLESNAKE CREEK DAM
Catron grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, spent time in the high desert of New Mexico, then moved west to chase carrots in Los Angeles for 15 years. Her musical adventures include performing/recording with notable artists such as Carla Bozulich (Official), Nels Cline, DeVotchKa, THE EELS, Mike Kelley, Dave Matthews Band, Sheila Nicholls Music, Pauline Oliveros, Spiritualized, The James Tenney Music Page, Corin Tucker, Scott Weiland, Emily Wells, and Wilco. She was selected as the first sound-artist-in-residence for the UCLA Hammer Museum, has performed original works at Walt Disney Concert Hall and The Getty Center, has held music residencies in Vancouver (BC), Omaha (NE), Seattle (WA), Bogotá (CO), and Auckland (NZ), and can be heard as a cellist on feature films including The Strangers, Levity, Shrek 3, and Mean Creek.
Jessica performs with the Missoula and Glacier Symphonies, writes for and performs with her band Missincinatti, and founded Grow Music, which offers lessons and modern performance practice in Missoula. She and her partner moved to Missoula together to raise two active, young people and are thrilled to be a part of the wonderful and vibrant community.
