Nancy Fitch
PHILIPSBURG
After majoring in fine art in college, Nacy Fitch entered medical school and had a very challenging and rewarding family medicine practice in Missoula and overseas, including 10 years setting up care and treatment of HIV in African health systems. Now retired from medicine, Nancy has returned to painting with a passion to make up for lost time. She has studied watercolor with Kendahl Jan Jubb for 10 years, taking some university courses, courses through the Montana Watercolor Society, Oregon Society of Art and Northwest Watercolor Society and exhibited in various galleries in Missoula and in competitions with MWS and Dana Gallery. She also paints with oils, pastels and acrylics. Nancy has a hunger to paint, particularly Montana's gorgeous natural lands, flowers, wildlife, waters, trying to capture transient, reflected light.
