Melissa Thompson is a multi-media artist residing in Missoula, Montana. She holds a BFA in
drawing from the University of Montana and an MA in prosthetic effects from Falmouth University. She has worked as a tattoo artist for 24 years and has been awarded for her special effects makeup work at the World Bodypainting Festival in Austria and the Prosthetics event in Coventry, England. She has been making faux taxidermy creatures for the last 10 years that incorporate a variety of mediums including felt making, mosaic, ceramic, and many others.
