About the workshop:

Join Amy to create your own small, blank books by practicing basic bookbinding techniques. In this workshop, participants will learn to use essential tools and source suitable materials for folded and sewn books. As a class, we'll make two practice books using different stitches, then participants will have ample time to create collage covers and a final, bigger book using their preferred stitch. Participants will also have the opportunity to make a page to contribute to Amy's communal Bitterroot Valley book, designed during her residency, and to handle and ask questions about other handbound books Amy has made and acquired.

Audience: This workshop is suitable for ages 14+.

What to bring: All materials will be provided, but if you have a favorite paper or collage materials, feel free to bring them
