SANDRA MARKER -
FLATHEAD LAKE BIOLOGICAL STATION
Sandra Marker began watercolor painting in 2003, after retiring as a City Manager and moving to a home on Flathead Lake, which she purchased in 1979. She has applied skills learned as an amateur photographer and videographer to her paintings. She creates artworks in watercolor, acrylic and oil, as well as photographs. Marker’s greatest pleasures involve being outdoors in the wilderness. In 2010 she was one of the artists selected for an Artist- Wilderness-Connection residency in the Great Bear Wilderness. Her works have been displayed in numerous local shows, and have received awards from the Montana Watercolor Society and Headwaters Montana for works in both watercolor and photography.
