Carrie Richer is a dance filmmaker. She graduated from Bates College with a BA in Dance and earned her MFA in Film at San Francisco State University. Carrie co-founded Hole Dance Films, a dance film production company in Jackson, Wyoming in 2005. Hole Dance Films' work has been screened internationally at many festivals in the past 15 years including Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, Dance Camera West, Cinedans, Dance on Camera Film Festival, NY and more. Richer was awarded the 2010 artist fellowship in film direction through the Wyoming Arts Council. She performed with Contemporary Dance Wyoming under the direction of Babs Case from 2008 – 2015. Carrie coordinated the creative initiatives program at the Jackson Center for the Arts from 2015-2018. In 2018, Carrie moved to Missoula Montana and became the Artistic Director of the International Wildlife Film Festival at the Roxy Theater. She continues to make work that melds many art mediums.
